I had dinner tonight with two charming women. One survived Adolf Hitler’s concentration camps. The other is here today because her parents, as small children, left Germany on the “kinderships” that rescued children who hadn’t yet been taken to the concentration camps.
Tomorrow morning I will not complain about the traffic.

Wow…how lucky are you? That would be an incredible experience to be able to hear even some of their stories and insight…
It’s not something they talk about a lot, though one made a tape about her experiences in Hitler’s Germany which is played to schoolchildren in her hometown. I did notice that the little things in life simply don’t bother them.
