I believe in conspiracy. The excruciating wait for responses and reactions from my computer is a psychological blackmail devised by cable companies to force the stubborn (and stingy) consumer to pay for a service that those companies should be competing with each other to give free, in order to keep my business. The odd, belligerent “attitude” that has taken over my computer (it is “unable to find” nearly every search site I ask for) and it has changed its required routine for disconnecting from the internet — this belligerence must have been preset to occur after our two year relationship in order to force, out of absolute nail-chewing frustration, the stubborn (and stingy) consumer to consider updating – now unfriendly machine. The computer and cable companies are in cahoots with pharmaceutical companies, as they market antidepressants to anxious, angry -and perhaps even paranoid consumers caught in this web. Somehow this tirade is indeed related to John Kerry (who seems to be trying hard not to beat his opponent) and GWB (who is proving the great power of the lowest common denominator). Best wishes to you, Mr. Laquedem -may your hard drive navigate a steadier course than mine.
